Healthcare professionals working in organisations that use Optum ScriptSwitch™ can now access publications from Keele’s Important News and Evidence Service (KINES). Please visit the Registration page to request access. Optum ScriptSwitch™ Users – if you have previously requested access please ensure you are logged in to view these publications. Publications include:

  • KINES Rapid Updates – concise summaries of new evidence or developments that relate to primary care
  • KINES Monthly Updates – an end-of-month newsletter providing a roundup of recent developments at key organisations (NICE, MHRA, etc.), a medicines update and other updates relevant to primary care. From Nov-17, a ‘Scotland Edition‘ of this monthly newsletter is also available.

How to find publications:

  • Users can also use the search box above to look for content. Searching will also return some older, archived National Prescribing Centre (NPC) articles. These have not been updated since their publication but may contain some useful information.
  • KINES publications have also been classified under the categories shown on the right hand side.
